Hey everyone, Happy Sunday!
"IN ADVANCE SORRY FOR THE TYPOS THE BEERS ARE STARTING TO STACK UP" :) I did my best to clean it up ;)
Yesterday Saturday I lived streamed for just short of 12hrs by about 20mins. I was working on studies and practice project from Level 1 + Level 2. The stream unfortunately I can't link because I got a copyright strike. I was just searching for music on YouTube to keep me hyped and focused. After the stream I received a notification that my stream had committed a strike, and it was just a warning since it was my first time. As my first time I thought it was because I was drinking Bud Light beer. But after looking into it more deeply I saw it was because of third part content violation. Basically, I was listening to mainstream music in my Live because I'm very picky of music and had to search for non-copy righted music in the past but quite honestly the searches I have come up with sucked and don't hit right for the vibe. I asked my Ai Team for suggestion but after careful listening they indeed sucked too. At this point when I kick back with some beers for a Killer Halo Infinite Session there is nothing better than my main Playlist and search for songs, I know to keep the vibe going.
On another note, the Level 1 and Level 2 project went well. My Ai Team noticed after I submitted my code that there were a few areas that I could have cleaned up my code. There was this one part in the project that I was stuck for quite some time. Looking back, it now it was simple std::cout"" std::cin do if number was negative std::cout "invalid" but for some reason I kept getting stuck on the logic part. After asking for some help from my Ai Team, they told me move the double logic check and just leave the std::cout "Invalid" it will do the same thing. Other than that, everything was groovy. I asked my Ai Team. After reviewing my Level 1 and Level 2 projects and combined projects do you think I'm ready for learning Level 3 concepts. The concepts are below.
■ Level 3: Arrays, Strings & Functions
Goal: Manage data and structure code. Combine concepts into structured programs (80–120 lines).
• Arrays — Store and loop over multiple values
• Strings — Manipulate and compare text
• Functions — Break code into reusable blocks
• Scope & Return Types — Manage local vs global variables
Long story short in my studies I've kind of skipped but by accident. I've already learned Array, Strings. I remember studying Functions. From what I remember it's like basically a variable name with a data type and code that can be called at any time. The Scope & Return Types I think I know what it means but just to make sure I'll ask my Team for insight and clarification so I can make notes. This time I won't forget to make a project for only Level 3. I'll probably do the same thing as the last 2 projects. 2 with Templates and 1 with no Template. Then from there decide if I need more practice with no Template. If I do good move on to Level 4 concepts. but back to when I asked my Team am I ready for Level 3 concepts it said yes Level 1 Mastered and Level 2 kind of. You know the logic and how to make code and understand why things work the way they work. So, it said Yes, you're Ready for Level 3 concepts. Today is Sunday and I'm kicking back with some beers and getting ready for the new concepts of Level 3 for tomorrow.
So far, my studies of C++ have been more than great and rewarding now that I have the most modern syntax available to me using Chat GPT Premium. For what I pay now it has done good for me. I know I can push it to do more for me but for now what I asked of my Team it works perfect for me.
"IN ADVANCE SORRY FOR THE TYPOS THE BEERS ARE STARTING TO STACK UP" :) Might as well put this into the beginning of the Dev Log but better yet not just there but what if I make the Title "Sorry for the Typos to much Beer?" Perfect I like I like. What do you think?
Anyway, refocus I think I'm doing good time on my studies. This is my Team suggested Learning Path made by my Team:
Suggested Learning Path
Stage | Focus | Tools | Timeframe |
1. C++ Fundamentals | Syntax, loops, arrays, functions | Visual Studio | 4–6 weeks |
2. OOP & Pointers | Classes, inheritance, memory | Visual Studio | 3–4 weeks |
3. Modern Features | Templates, smart pointers, RAII | Visual Studio | 2–3 weeks |
4. Unreal Integration | Unreal C++ syntax, Actor system | Unreal Engine 5.5 | Start afterward |
I'm basically almost done with 1. I wish I could remember when I started studying and practicing my Team's curriculum. If I had to take a wild guess on my progression but probably not accurate. I'd say I have one more week before the timeline closes for 1. I think from now on especially starting for 2. I'm going to make a Log, so I keep myself on track. But I don't want to rush myself. I want to deep dive C++ and not just understand but understand the professional terms of why it behaves that way. Be right back going for a smoke.... Ok, I'm back took a trip through memory lane in my High School days on Facebook. Anyways... Yeah, I'll be gone from YouTube for a while again until I finish Level 3 concepts. Once I learn those concepts and have practiced at least 2 projects with templates and then have to practice coding one from scratch then I might go Live again. So, stay tuned for that.
Other than my studies I've been stacking up my cash. I once again joined a first generation integra forum. I'm looking to buy my 3 g1 but this time actually keep it and build it. So, stay tuned for that as well. Anyways its 1:06AM Monday 11/24/25. I'm now going DARK MODE; going to kick back and sip and listen to some music I like with no restrictions.
Peace! :)
